Presentation

Under the leadership of its promoters, LaRoche has evolved since its inception to date, sticking closely to the evolution of Benin in order to better meet the demands of its market. It all started in 1979 with the creation of Chagoury Brothers and Company, a firm specializing in the distribution of metallurgical products and wholesale works in Benin. True to their daring strategy of continuous innovation for the Beninese market, Chagoury brothers then created in 1984, the company ROCK, originally intended to market hardware and finishes.

In 1990, the Republic of Benin is committed to a peaceful transition to a democratic, pluralistic society whose corollaries are greater freedom of opinion and expression of the consumer-citizen and a liberalized economy favoring private initiative. Adapting quickly to this new market, the Chagoury Group is once again proof of anticipation and decided to strengthen the quality of its offer by operating on 31 December 1992, the merger of the two companies. Beneficiary of the synergies thus created, the new company LaRoche now has all the assets to become the Foundation Building by Excellence.
